Celebrate Woollahra Festival with free champagne and a three-day neighbourhood party

A three-day party in one of Sydney’s most sought-after neighbourhoods is taking place next weekend, and everyone is invited.

The Woollahra Festival will celebrate the very best of postcode 2025 in 2025, with a jam-packed schedule showcasing some of the city’s most popular restaurants, galleries and boutiques, a gala lunch, award-winning writers talks and even a dog show.

The event - featuring a mix of ticketed and free events - kicks off on Friday, March 28, with Queen St set to come alive with champagne, canapes, live music, an oyster bar and sales of up to 30 per cent off.

Enjoy the festivities as you wander through the strip’s renowned fashion houses, providores, galleries and antique shops, with one-off activations and deals as part of the special late-night shopping experience.

I Maccheroni will be slinging half-price negronis from 4-6pm, Simon Johnson will be hosting a special tasting table until 7pm, and dining institution Bistro Moncur is offering a main course and glass of wine for $55 from 12 - 6pm on Friday and over the weekend.

Queen St will again be the epicentre of activity on Saturday, with dance troupes, face painting and the hugely-popular community dog show perfect entertainment for the whole family.

The pampered pooches of the area will compete for several awards, including the waggiest tail, best trick, fluffiest, best old dog and the prestigious Queen of Queen St.

Final tickets are still available for the festival’s signature event, the Woollahra Festival Gala Lunch, which will take place in a Mediterranean-style marquee on Victoria Ave, featuring a delicious four-course grazing menu, Pommery Champagne on arrival and the chance to win a $22,600 ring by Matthew Ely.

The Woollahra Writers’ Festival will also take place over the weekend, with talks by leading Australian authors, including 2023 Miles Franklin Literary Award winner Shankari Chandran.

The festival will wrap-up on Sunday with a free afternoon of jazz on the lawn at Chiswick.

The Woollahra Festival is being organised by the Queen Street and West Woollahra Association, with support from Woollahra Council, Ray White Woollahra and Matthew Ely Jewellery.
